Welcome to Recovery
House
Recovery House is dedicated to the recovery of men whose
lives have become unmanageable due to their addiction to alcohol and drugs. We
understand the problems and the suffering the addict and their families are
experiencing due to this devastating disease. We also understand the solution
and offer hope to those who are tired of living in the problem and are willing
to follow a simple plan of action to bring about change.
Recovery House is a one-year Christ centered twelve-step
program. The staff at Recovery House believes that a strong spiritual foundation
is essential to an effective program of recovery. We do our best to instill
Christian principles and use sound clinical instruction and the twelve steps to
offer tools to aid in the recovery from addiction and life controlling issues.
The old life has gone and the new life has begun.
2 Corinthians 5:17
About Us
Recovery House is a therapeutic community that provides transitional housing
for adult men with substance abuse problems.. We are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit
organization which has been helping men with substance abuse problems for over
sixteen years. Recovery House provides a structured living environment and
allows the resident to become involved in Bible Studies, Church Services,
Addiction/Recovery Education, Individual and Group Counseling and Twelve-Step Meetings. The program helps
to renew the residents sense of responsibility by following a daily schedule of
work, household chores, and meetings. As the resident moves through phases of
the program, they begin taking on more responsibility as leadership in the
program to help further develop social skills and leadership qualities.
Our main facility is located at 591 Lake Minnie Drive in Sanford,
Florida. Our facility is fully self supporting, therefore all the men are
involved in a work enclave where they can enhance work skills or be trained for
new ones. This work program teaches our residents greater responsibility and
helps build a new work ethic while generating funds to support the program.
